CAUTION: If it is necessary to refinish the head gasket surface, do not grind off more than 0.15 mm (0.006 inch) from the original thickness. Original height of the cylinder head should measure 133.4-133.6 mm (5.252-5.260 inches).








Maximum distortion for the cylinder head is 0.1O mm (0.004 inch). If the cylinder head distortion exceeds specification, grind the cylinder head surface.





Inspect the manifold contact surface distortion in the six directions shown.

Maximum distortion for the manifold contact surface is 0.1O mm (0.004 inch). If the distortion exceeds specification, grind the manifold contact surface or replace the cylinder head as necessary.
