Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair

HOOD SWITCH






REMOVAL
1. Locate hood tamper switch on LH side of front fender apron.

NOTE: Make sure that hood inner plug is installed on hood above hood anti-theft control bracket and switch, before performing hood anti-theft control bracket and switch diagnosis.

2. Disconnect electrical connector from hood anti-theft control bracket and switch.
3. Remove screws retaining hood anti-theft control bracket and switch.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Make sure hood anti-theft control bracket and switch locator leg is seated firmly when driving screw to retain hood anti-theft control bracket and switch. Tighten screws to 1.6-2.2 Nm (15-19 Lb-In).
