Brake Caliper: Testing and Inspection

CALIPER
- Clean all metal parts with isopropyl alcohol.
- Use clean, dry compressed air to clean out and dry grooves and passages.
- Make sure caliper bore and component parts are completely free of any foreign material.
- Inspect caliper bores for damage or excessive wear. If rear disc brake piston or adjuster (2B588) is pitted, scored or plating is worn off, replace. Replace any damaged or worn parts.

BRAKE SHOE AND LINING
- Inspect rear brake shoe and lining (2200) for wear. If lining is worn to within 3.12 mm (0.123 inch) of shoe, replace all four rear brake shoe and linings.
