Charging System: Description and Operation

The charging system is a negative ground electrical system consisting of these components:
^ Generator (GEN) with integral rear mount Voltage Regulator (VR)
^ Charge indicator
^ Battery
^ Megafuse
^ Associated wiring

With the ignition switch in the RUN position:
^ Voltage is applied through the charge warning indicator I circuit to the voltage regulator.
^ The voltage regulator is turned on, allowing current to flow from the battery sense A circuit to the generator field coil.
