Cylinder Head Assembly
Tightening Specifications
Oil Galley or Cooling Jacket Plugs:
- 1/4-inch pipe plug: 8-11 Nm (71-97 inch lbs.)
- 1-inch pipe plug: 71-86 Nm (53-63 ft. lbs.)
Cylinder Head Bolts [3]
Step 1: Tighten bolts to 27-32 Nm (20-23 ft. lbs.).
Step 2: Rotate bolts an additional 85-95°.
[3] Cylinder head retaining bolts must be replaced with new bolts. They are torque-to-yield designed and cannot be reused or damage to engine may occur.
