Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Service and Repair

Removal




1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove screw retaining A/C ambient air temperature sensor and bracket.
3. Remove A/C ambient air temperature sensor and bracket mounting nut and remove A/C ambient air temperature sensor and bracket.
4. Disconnect electrical connector from A/C ambient air temperature sensor and bracket.

Installation
1. Connect electrical connector to A/C ambient air temperature sensor and bracket.
2. Position sensor on bracket and install retaining nut.
3. Position A/C ambient air temperature sensor and bracket and install retaining screw. Tighten to 2.4-3.3 N.m (22-29 lb-in).
4. Connect battery ground cable.
5. Check system for proper operation.
