Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's original concern by operating the power windows/rear window defroster to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Front door window regulator damaged.
- Front door glass run front retainer damaged.
- Front front door window glass out of front door glass run front retainer.
- Front door window glass broken.

Electrical
- Circuits open/shorted.
- Loose, corroded connectors.
- Damaged window regulator control switch.
- Damaged window regulator electric drive.
- Damaged fuse junction panel Fuse ACC (10A), POWER WDO (20A) or RUN (5A), Power distribution box Fuse 14FL (40A).
- In-line circuit breaker.

3. It the inspection reveals obvious concerns that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the symptoms and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
