Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Power/Ground to Anti-Lock Brake Control Module

If the fuse has failed:
A. Check the weather packing of the power connector to the anti-lock brake control module C145.
B. Remove power distribution box fuse 19 (60A).
C. Measure the resistance between the outside pin of power distribution box fuse 19 (60A), circuit 37 (Y), and ground.
D. Spray with water and wiggle the wiring between the power distribution box and the anti-lock brake control module.
E. If any continuity is measured, repair/replace the wiring.

Check for opens in wiring:
A. Disconnect the anti-lock brake control module C145.
B. While measuring the voltage between anti-lock brake control module C145-2, circuit 37 (Y), and negative battery post, wiggle the wiring harness.
C. If the voltage momentarily drops below 10 volts, while the harness is wiggled, repair or replace the wiring.
D. While measuring the resistance between the anti-lock brake control module C145-1, circuit 57 (BK), and ground, wiggle the wiring harness.
E. If the resistance momentarily goes above 5 ohms, while the harness is wiggled, repair or replace the wiring.
