Oil Temperature Sensor For ECM: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. On vehicles equipped with dual batteries, refer to battery.

CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to working on the electronic engine controls.

2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.







3. Remove the plug and drain the oil in the high-pressure oil pump reservoir.
- Avoid spilling.
- Use a suction gun.
- Insert the tube into the port on the top right (viewed from the front of the engine) of the reservoir, and remove the oil.







4. Disconnect the wiring at the engine oil temperature sensor and remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with dual batteries, refer to battery for battery reconnect procedure.

2. Refill the oil in the high pressure oil pump reservoir.
