PCV System Modification

AFFECTED VEHICLES:
CERTAIN 1997-1998 MODEL YEAR F-150 SERIES TRUCKS PRODUCED WITH THE 4.2L ENGINE REGISTERED IN CERTAIN COLD WEATHER STATES AND CANADA.

There are two service procedures in this recall. Each service procedure is for a different region of North America.

Service Procedure A:
Coolant Heated Fitting is for vehicles located in the following states: Alaska, Maine, Minnesota, Michigan (Upper Peninsula), Montana, New York, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin and Canada.

Service Procedure B:
Tube-in-Tube is for vehicles located in the following states: Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan (Lower Peninsula), Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
