Keyless Entry Module: Description and Operation

- The remote keyless entry module is located behind the LH luggage compartment trim panel.
- It contains a radio receiver that receives a signal from the keyless entry remote transmitter through the remote keyless entry module internal antenna.
- It sends the appropriate command to the power door locks, the horn relay, the park lamps, the luggage compartment door solenoid, and the anti-theft warning system if equipped.
- The remote keyless entry module is equipped with a battery backup which holds the programmed code in memory when the vehicle battery is disconnected.
