Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair






REMOVAL
1. Remove the driver side air bag module.
2. Disconnect speed control wire harness. Disconnect horn switch wire.
3. Remove four retaining screws from speed control actuator switch.
4. Carefully pry away RH side of steering wheel back cover to allow enough clearance to remove RH side speed control switch wiring from steering wheel. Repeat on the LH side and remove speed control actuator switch.

INSTALLATION
1. Carefully pry away RH side of the steering wheel back cover to allow enough clearance to insert RH side of the speed control switch wiring into steering wheel. Repeat on LH side.
2. Position speed control actuator switch onto steering wheel and install four Phillips-head screws.
3. Connect all harness connectors and route wiring in steering wheel cavity. Install wire organizer.

CAUTION: Make sure wires are positioned so that no interference is encountered when installing air bag module.

4. Install the driver side air bag module.
5. Check operation of speed control actuator switch.
