ATTENTION SERVICE MANAGER

ISSUE
There has been a new PCM recalibration file released for the 1998 Windstar 3.8L with the same calibration number that is referenced in this recall -- 8-62Q-R05. The new file should be used when performing recall 98E03 so that customers receive the latest calibration. An OASIS message was previously broadcast announcing release of this calibration.

HOW TO OBTAIN THE NEW CALIBRATION
This calibration will be available in the regular CD-ROM mailing of January 1999. The calibration is available immediately via the just-in-time process if your SBDS/SBTS communicates with Fordstar, if your SBDS/SBTS is limited to using a phone line, call (800) 207-2444 or (734-8684 to obtain the required calibration through an overnight CD_ROM shipping process. Provide calibration number 8-62Q-R05 when ordering.

THIS FLIER IS INVALID AFTER DECEMBER 31, 1998
This calibration will not be available through overnight CD after December 31, 1998, because it will be contained on the January CD-ROM.
