Heater Hose: Service and Repair
RemovalCAUTION: Do not mix Standard (green) Coolant with Extended Life Coolant (orange). If mixing occurs, drain engine cooling system and refill with originally equipped coolant type. If this contamination occurs the service change interval on Extended Life Coolant will be reduced from 6 years/150,000 miles to 3 years/30,000 miles.
1. Remove the three bolts and position the ignition coil out of the way.
2. Drain the coolant below the upper intake manifold.
3. Disconnect the hoses at the PCV valve.
4. Disconnect the hoses at the heater supply and return tube assembly and remove the hoses.
Installation
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Fill the cooling system.
