Back Flushing-Heater Core

1. WARNING: Do not open the cooling Astern while it is hot or while the engine is running.

Partially drain the cooling system.

2. NOTE: Refer to the cooling system Flush-All Operating Instructions for particular vehicle hook-up.

For cooling systems filled with Premium Engine Coolant E2FZ-9549-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B4-A (green color), use Ford Premium Cooling System Flush F1AZ-19A503-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M14P7-A (that is safe for use with aluminum radiators), to remove rust, sludge and other foreign material from the cooling system. For vehicles filled with Ford Extended Life Engine Coolant F6AZ-19544-AA (orange) or DEX-COOL equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M97B44-D, use warm water to remove rust, sludge and other foreign material from the cooling system.
3. Fill the cooling system.
