Liftgate Door Lock Cylinder

REMOVAL

NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are serviced by discarding the inoperative lock cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock service package. The lock service package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the new lock cylinder to the current keycode of the vehicle.

1. Open liftgate.
2. Remove liftgate inside trim panel.
3. Remove 12 nuts retaining rear reflector and socket to liftgate. Remove rear reflector and socket.
4. Release door latch rod retainer and remove from rear license plate housing and bracket.
5. Remove two retaining nuts and remove liftgate lock cylinder from liftgate.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten lock cylinder retaining nuts to 6-8 Nm (54-70 lb-in).
