Door Switch: Service and Repair

The Door Ajar Switch removal procedure is in the Door Latch removal and installation procedure. Doors

NOTE: The door ajar switch is retained by a plastic locking tab located in the lower portion of the latch. If the door ajar switch is turned without releasing the locking tab, the housing will break, and the latch will have to be replaced. If the tab is lifted too much, it will break off and require replacement of the latch.
