Starter Drive/Bendix: Testing and Inspection
Inspect the entire circumference of the flywheel ring gear for damage when the starter drive gear teeth are damaged. The flywheel ring gear pattern will usually be found tin two places around the flywheel ring gear. If the starter drive gear or flywheel ring gear show signs of excessive wear or milling, they must be replaced.
