Upper Intake Manifold

Removal
1. Remove the cowl.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.





3. Disconnect the accelerator and speed control cables.





4. Position the bracket aside.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the stud bolt.
- Position the bracket aside.





5. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) and throttle position sensor (TPS) connectors.





6. Disconnect the evaporative emissions return tube.





7. Remove the fuel line retaining clip and wire harness pin-type retainers.





8. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
- Reposition the clamp.
- Disconnect the hose.





9. Disconnect the electronic vacuum regulator (EVR).
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disconnect the vacuum tubes.





10. Disconnect the vacuum hose.





11. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum tube.





12. Disconnect the differential pressure feedback-EGR sensor.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disconnect the hoses.





13. Disconnect the PCV hose.





14. Position the spark plug wire aside.
- Lift the spark plug wire separators.
- Position the spark plug wires aside.





15. Remove the upper intake manifold.
- Remove the stud bolts Remove the bolts.
- Remove the cover.





16. Remove the upper intake manifold spacer.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the intake manifold spacer.

Installation











1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
