Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Remove the steering column lower shroud.

NOTE: Ordering the correct ignition lock cylinder to match existing vehicle keys can he achieved through the Ford/Lincoln Mercury Dealerships.







2. Remove the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver.
1 Remove the retaining screw.
2 Remove the transceiver.







3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
1 Turn the key to position I (ACC).
2 Use a thin bladed screwdriver to depress the retainer.
3 Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
