Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL

WARNING: WHEN RELIEVING COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE, COVER THE EXPANSION TANK CAP WITH A THICK CLOTH TO PREVENT THE POSSIBILITY OF SCALDING. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

1. Turn the expansion cap counterclockwise a quarter turn to relieve the cooling system pressure.
2. Retighten the expansion tank cap.







3. Remove the intake air resonator and hose assembly.







4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.







5. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Fill up the cooling system, as required. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
