BTDC - Before Top Dead Center.

1 - Eighth digit of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) denotes engine code.

2 - Idle speed is controlled by Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.

3 - Wrap shop towel around diagnostic valve to prevent fuel spillage. Connect suitable fuel pressure gauge to fuel diagnostic valve. Place ignition switch in On position to energize fuel pump & check pressure gauge reading.

4 - Not adjustable.

5 - Valve clearance is hydraulically controlled, no adjustment is necessary.

6 - Equipped with a crankshaft position sensor.
