Disc Brake Caliper Components

The front disc brake caliper:
^ bolts to the front disc brake caliper anchor plate, which bolts to the front wheel spindle.
^ is a disc brake caliper locating pin, dual piston design.
^ has a fluid inlet at the center of the caliper housing.
The brake disc:
^ is of a ventilated full-cast design, with non-directional cooling fins.
^ is serviced with the disc brake caliper and front disc brake caliper anchor plate removed.
The brake disc shield:
^ is riveted to the front wheel spindle.
^ protects the front wheel bearings and inboard surface of the brake disc.
The pads:
^ are housed in the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
^ are of a non-asbestos, low-metallic composition.
