Quarter Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the quarter window trim panel.







2. Remove five nuts.
3. Remove the quarter window glass.
^ Use a razor blade knife to cut the foam core butyl and push out the quarter window glass.

NOTE: If reinstalling the quarter window glass, thoroughly remove the foam core butyl using an alcohol-free cleaner.

4. Apply Urethane Metal Primer Essex U-413 meeting Ford specification WSB-M2G234-C to any exposed metal on the pinch weld. Allow 10 minutes drying time.

INSTALLATION







1. Attach Norton Foam Sealants 565 Black Foam Tape or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESB-M3G77-A to the inside of the quarter window glass so that it overlaps at the bottom.







2. Align the quarter window glass using the studs and firmly press into place on the pinch weld. Tighten the quarter window glass nuts to specification.
3. Install the quarter window trim panel.
