Windshield Washer Switch: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait one minute for the air bag backup power supply to be depleted.





2. Remove the screws and the upper and lower steering column shrouds.





3. Remove the screws.





4. Disconnect the (A) electrical connectors and remove the (B) windshield wiper/washer switch.

Installation





1. Note: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn its strategy.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
