Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Remove the muffler.

2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.

3. Note: The exhaust inlet crossover pipe is shown removed for clarity.

Disconnect the two heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connectors.

4. Remove the bolts and nuts.
5. Remove the three way catalytic converters (TWCs).

Installation

1. Note: Before installing the TWCs, install new gaskets.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
