Shift Linkage: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Remove the gearshift lever cover.
1. Unclip the cover or boot.
2. Twist off the gearshift lever knob. Take out the damping sleeves and compression spring.
^ Separate the connectors (number and configuration depends on equipment).





2. Remove the floor console.





3. Remove the shift and selector cabins from the gearshift lever.
- Remove the cables by twisting the abutment collar counter-clockwise.





4. Remove the shift mechanism.

Installation





1. Reinstall the components in the reverse order.
2. Adjust the gearshift mechanism.
