Parking Brake Control: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect the parking brake warning indicator switch electrical connector.
3. Note: Make sure the parking brake is in the released position.
Disconnect the parking brake release actuator.
4. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit.
5. Remove the nuts and pull firmly down on the fuse panel/junction box and position the fuse panel/junction box out of the way.
6. Remove the parking brake control.
1 Remove three nuts.
2 Pull the control from the studs.
3 Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
8. Adjust the parking brake cable.
