Alternator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Relieve the accessory drive belt tension and remove the belt from the generator pulley. Leave the belt in place for reinstallation.







3. Disconnect the electrical connections.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.
^ Remove the battery positive nut and cable.







4. Remove the generator upper bracket bolts and bracket.







5. Loosen the lower generator bolts and remove the generator by lifting straight up and out.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
