Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain the air conditioning system.

NOTE: Observe the "Health and Safety Rules".

2. Raise the vehicle.







3. Detach the radiator undershield.

NOTE: Do not drain the cooling system.







4. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser.







5. Loosen the radiator crossmember (left-hand side shown).
- Remove two bolts on each side.

CAUTION: Support the radiator crossmember using a transmission jack or similar.







6. Remove the air conditioning condenser.
1. Unclip the condenser (one side shown).
2. Pull out the condenser to the side.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Do not damage the radiator fins.

NOTE: Renew the O-rings and smear them with refrigerant oil

1. Refit the components in reverse order.
2. Evacuate and refill the air conditioning system.
3. Check the operation of the air conditioning system.
