EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.







3. Disconnect the breather pipe.







4. Remove the air cleaner.







5. Fully loosen the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve to exhaust manifold tube nut from the bottom of the EGR valve.







6. Disconnect the vacuum line from the top of the EGR valve.







7. Remove the EGR valve.
8. Remove and discard the EGR valve gasket.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Use a new EGR valve gasket when installing the EGR valve.
