Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the front door trim panel.







2. Remove the side impact bolster.







3. Detach the speaker from the front door panel.







4. Remove the speaker.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.







5. Detach the door latch release handle from the front door panel.







6. Detach the watershield from the front door panel.

CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.






7. Detach the window one-touch down relay from the front door panel.







8. Connect the power window control switch electrical connector.







9. Remove the front door window glass clamp bolts.
^ Align the retaining bolts with the access holes.







10. Detach the front door window glass from the regulator.
1. Hold the front door window glass at the top of the opening.
2. Lower the regulator.







11. Using suitable hooks, secure the front door window glass.

CAUTION: Make sure the front door window glass is adequately supported.







12. Disconnect the power window control switch electrical connector.







13. Disconnect the front door window regulator motor electrical connector.
^ Detach the wiring harness from the clip.







14. Remove the front door window regulator and motor.
^ Remove the screws.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
