Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair






SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL







1. Drain the air conditioning system.

NOTE: Observe the "Health and Safety Rules".







2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Detach the wheel arch trim panel on the passenger's side (driver's side shown).
- Remove six bolts.
- Remove the trim panel.

4. Remove the accumulator/dehydrator.
1. Disconnect the refrigerant line using special tool 412-040.
2. Disconnect the refrigerant line screw- connection.
3. Remove the accumulator/dehydrator together with the bracket.

CAUTION: Immediately seal the refrigerant line and connection using plugs.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Renew the O-rings and smear them with refrigerant oil.

1. Refit the components in reverse order.
2. Evacuate and refill the air conditioning system.
3. Check the operation of the air conditioning system.
