Leak Detection Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister.







2. Remove the canister vent solenoid.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure
^ Carry out the Leak Test. Evaporative Emission System Leak Test
^ Carry out the Evaporative Emission Repair Verification Drive Cycle. Evaporative Emission Repair Verification Drive Cycle

NOTE:
^ Lubricate the O-ring with Merpol O-ring Seal Lubricant or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M99B144B.
^ A canister and bracket assembly leak test should be carried out before installation on the vehicle.
