System Description

The rear view mirrors consists of the following components:
^ exterior rear view mirror motor
^ exterior mirror control switch
^ exterior rear view mirror glass
^ electrochromic interior rear view mirror (optional)
^ interior rear view mirror
^ exterior rear view mirror

Exterior Mirrors
The exterior rear view mirrors are controlled by the exterior mirror control switch. The exterior mirror control switch:
^ is located on the driver front door trim panel.
^ operates both the driver side and passenger side exterior rear view mirrors.
^ selects the driver side or passenger side exterior rear view mirror for adjustment.
^ adjusts the exterior rear view mirrors by moving the knob in the direction of the arrow on the exterior mirror control switch.

Heated Exterior Rear View Mirror with Turn Signal
The heated exterior rear view mirror with turn signal:
^ operate any time the heated back window system is turned on.
^ heating function is an integral part of the exterior rear view mirror glass.
^ utilize a separate fuse from the heated back window system.
^ has a removable turn signal module, which is a separate component from the exterior rear view mirror glass

Memory Exterior Rear View Mirror
The memory exterior rear view mirror:
^ is controlled by the Driver Seat Module (DSM).
^ is programmed by using the memory mirror set switch.
^ can recall personalized positions either by using the memory mirror set switch or by using the remote transmitter.
^ can store up to two positions.

Electrochromic Interior Rear View Mirror
The optional electrochromic interior rear view mirror:
^ is equipped with an automatic dimming feature that controls the interior rear view mirror reflecting surface to reduce glare caused by headlamps reflecting in the mirror.
^ has two integral sensors to control dimming functions.
^ defaults to normal setting when the transmission is shifted to REVERSE to allow a bright view for backing up.
^ can be switched off by pressing the MODE switch to the OFF position.
