General Module: Service and Repair

MODULE - REMOTE ANTI-THEFT PERSONALITY (RAP)

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the quarter trim panel.
- For Coupe and Sedan, remove the RH trim panel.







3. Disconnect the two electrical connectors, the ground strap from the sheet metal and the remote anti-theft personality (RAP) module antenna.







4. CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

Remove the nuts and the RAP module.







5. Lift the two tabs and remove the RAP module from the bracket.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: After replacing the remote anti-theft personality (RAP) module it is necessary to reconfigure the module using the scan tool.
