Compressor Fitting HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Position the vehicle on a hoist with the gear selector in NEUTRAL.
2. Recover the refrigerant.
3. Remove the fan shroud.







4. Remove the screws and position the power steering pump reservoir aside.







5. Remove the A/C manifold and tube support clip retaining bolt.







6. Disconnect the A/C manifold and tube spring lock coupling at the suction accumulator.







7. Remove the bolt.







8. Disconnect the A/C manifold and tube spring lock coupling at the A/C condenser.







9. Remove the screws and the radiator air deflector.







10. Detach the A/C manifold and tube from the A/C manifold and tube support clip.







11. Loosen the compressor manifold and tube retaining bolt and remove the A/C manifold and tube.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil.
- Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.
2. Evacuate, leak-test and charge the refrigerant system.
