MODULE REPROGRAMMING

1. Connect a battery charger to the main battery (passenger side of engine compartment) and charge the battery while performing this reprogramming procedure.

2. Using WDS, updated to B24.6 or later, reprogram the PCM/FICM.

NOTE:
IF UNABLE TO REPROGRAM PCM/FICM

^ Component replacement will not be covered under this program.

^ Prior to disconnecting the WDS from the vehicle and closing the session, call the Special Service Support Center at 1-800-325-5621.

3. Once reprogramming is complete, clear all DTCs.

4. Disconnect the battery charger.





5. Obtain and prepare an Authorized Modification Label. Write the modification completed, your P&A code, date of repair and the program type and number as shown in Figure 1.

6. Apply the label to a clean area adjacent to the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label, then cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.





7. Provide California and Massachusetts owners with a completed "Vehicle Emission Recall Proof of Correction" certificate. See Figure 2.
