Normal Operation
When the brake pedal is applied, the powertrain control module (PCM) will receive battery voltage from the brake pedal position (BPP) switch, deactivating the speed control system. A speed control deactivator switch opens when the brake is applied, deactivating the speed control.

Possible Causes
- circuit 10 (LG/RD) open, shorted to power or shorted to ground
- circuit 307 (BK/YE) open, shorted to power or shorted to ground
- circuit 810 (RD/LG) open, shorted to power or shorted to ground
- brake pedal position (BPP) switch
- speed control deactivator switch
- powertrain control module (PCM)
- speed control actuator
