The frame consists of two steel channel rails, a rear crossmember, additional support crossmembers and a front crossmember.

The rails and crossmembers arc not to be removed from the frame (5005) for repair except for the spare tire carrier plate. A front frame rail repair kit (5D058 and 5D059) is available if the front rail is to be repaired.
