Rear Wheel Speed Sensor and Sensor Ring

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
3. On vehicles with 3-channel ABS, remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.





4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
5. On vehicles with 4-channel ABS, remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.





6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 5: Sensor Ring Removal Note
1. On vehicles with 3-channel ABS, the sensor ring is attached to the ring gear and must be removed from the rear differential case.
2. On vehicles with 4-channel ABS, the sensor ring is attached to the rear axle shaft.

Item 4: O-Ring Installation Note
1. Install a new O-ring.
