Liftgate Window Glass: Service and Repair

LIFTGATE WINDOW GLASS

REMOVAL
1. Open the liftgate glass
2. If installing a new liftgate window glass, remove the rear window wiper motor.







3. Disconnect the left side rear window defroster electrical connector.







4. Position aside the top portion of liftgate trim panel to access the right side connectors.







5. Disconnect the electrical connector, release the clip and remove the ground screw.







6. NOTE: An assistant may be needed to carry out this step.

Remove the two liftgate lifting cylinder pins.







7. NOTE: An assistant may be needed to carry out this step.

Remove the liftgate window glass.
1 Position the liftgate trim panel aside.
2 Remove the access covers and the liftgate window hinge nuts.

8. Remove the liftgate window glass.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
