Removal and Installation

NOTE: Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.

NOTE: If an A/C condenser core leak is suspected, the A/C condenser core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure





2. Remove the air deflector.
1. Remove the jack handle.
2. Remove the screws.
3. Remove the air deflector.





3. NOTE: RH radiator bracket shown, LH similar.

Remove the bolts and remove the radiator brackets.





4. Disconnect the A/C lines from the condenser core (19712).





5. NOTE: RH condenser bracket shown, LH similar.

Remove the bolts and remove the condenser brackets.





6. Remove the condenser core.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new 0-rings lubricated in clean PAG oil.
- Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil. Refrigerant Oil
