Rear Window Glass

REAR WINDOW GLASS

REMOVAL

Vehicles with rear bench seat







1. Remove the rear seat back.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Lift up to remove the rear seat back.

Vehicles with rear bucket seats
2. Position the rear seats forward.
3. Remove the rear center console.







4. NOTE: RH side shown, LH side similar.

Remove the rear trim panel.
1 Remove the four pin-type retainers.
2 Remove the three bolts and one nut.

All vehicles







5. Position aside the safety belt guides.
1 Lift up on the safety belt guide cover.
2 Remove the safety belt guide bolts.







6. Remove the upper rear corner trim panels.







7. Remove the coat hooks.
1 Remove the two screws.
2 Remove the two coat hooks.







8. If equipped, remove the dome lamp.
1 Carefully pry the lens out of the dome lamp.
2 Remove the dome lamp screws.
3 Remove the dome lamp.

9. Remove the pin-type retainers from the headliner.
10. Lower the back half of the headliner.

Vehicles with power sliding window







11. NOTE: RH side shown, LH side similar.

Remove the LH and RH rear power sliding window cable screws.







12. Disconnect the LH and RH rear power sliding window cable.

All vehicles
13. If equipped, disconnect the rear window defrost connectors.
14. Cut the foam butyl from around the back window glass.







15. Remove the back window glass.
1 Remove the 12 nuts.
2 Remove the back window glass.

16. Remove any remaining foam butyl from the window glass frame.

INSTALLATION

All vehicles
1. Clean the back window glass with an alcohol-free cleaner.

2. Apply 8 mm foam butyl, or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSB-M3G143-B to the back window glass.
- Start at the bottom middle and work around.







3. Install the back window glass.
1 Position the back window glass.
2 Install the 12 nuts.

4. If equipped, connect the rear window defrost connectors.

Install the LH and RH rear power sliding window cable.







6. NOTE: RH side shown, LH side similar.

Install the LH and RH power sliding window cable screws.

All vehicles
7. Position the headliner.
8. Install the pin-type retainers.







9. If equipped, install the dome lamp.
1 Position the dome lamp.
2 Install the dome lamp screws.
3 Install the lens.







10. Install the coat hooks.
1 Position the two coat hooks.
2 Install the two screws.







11. Install the upper rear corner trim panels.







12. Install the safety belt guides.
1 Install the safety belt guide bolts.
2 Install the safety belt guide covers.

Install the rear trim panel.
1 Install the four pin-type retainers.
2 Install the three bolts and one nut.

14. Install the rear center console.
