Exterior Mirror Glass
EXTERIOR MIRROR GLASSREMOVAL
NOTE: This procedure is for SVT vehicles only.
1. Press down on the exterior mirror glass to position it downwards.
2. NOTE: While keeping the exterior mirror glass in the downward position, pull the exterior mirror glass in the outboard position.
Release the exterior mirror glass.
3. CAUTION: Be sure not to damage the wiring, damper or spring assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the exterior mirror glass.
INSTALLATION
1. NOTE: Place the wires under the mirror motor for correct mirror operation.
Connect the exterior mirror glass electrical connectors.
2. NOTE: Place the vibration spring in front of the mirror case reinforcement wall and place the vibration damper blade in the mirror case reinforcement slot.
Install the mirror glass.
1 Place the vibration spring into position.
2 Insert the vibration damper blade into the reinforcement slot.
3. Apply even pressure on both sides of the exterior mirror glass.
- The exterior mirror glass will lock into the exterior mirror motor.
4. NOTE: Make sure the exterior mirror glass is locked onto the exterior mirror motor.
Apply slight pressure on the exterior mirror glass.
