Radiator: Service and Repair

Radiator-2.3L

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. With vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
3. Recover the A/C refrigerant.
4. Drain the cooling system.
5. Remove the Cooling fan motors and shroud.





6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn.





7. Remove the nuts and disconnect the A/C condenser lines from the condenser.





8. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper hose from the radiator.





9. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower hose from the radiator.





10. Remove the push-type pins and the lower radiator splash shield.

11. NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.





Remove the four bolts and the lower core support.





12. Remove the radiator and condenser from the vehicle as an assembly.





13. Remove the condenser loom the radiator by releasing the condenser from the radiator retaining clips.
14. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
15. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
