The
charging system consists of the following components:

an internal
voltage regulator.

generator warning lamp.
^
associated wiring.
The generator and
voltage regulator:

supplies current to the electrical system.
^
charges the battery.
^
adjusts the generator field current to increase or decrease generator output.
