General View of Gearshift Mechanism
The iB5 manual transaxle in the vehicle is installed with a cable gearshift mechanism.

The shift cable is marked white, the selector cable black.

Remove the cables from the transaxle and gearshift lever by twisting both sections of the abutment collar counterclockwise.

As the gearshift and selector cables share the same bush where they pass through the floor, they can only be serviced as a pair.

The shift mechanism is adjusted using a 3 mm drill bit on the gearshift lever and by means of the selector cable on the transaxle. It is not possible to adjust the shift cable.
