Timing Component Alignment Marks: Locations
The camshaft timing marks must be correctly lined up.
The copper link on one end and one link on the other end, are use as timing marks.
- LH camshaft sprocket timing mark is approximately at the 12 o'clock position.
- RH camshaft sprocket timing mark is approximately in the 11 o'clock position.
LH crankshaft sprocket, align the one copper link on the timing chain with the slot on the crankshaft sprocket.
Verify the camshaft sprocket to copper link alignment.
