Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector.

NOTE: Two Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) are used for the engine control system. They are located in the dual converter Y pipe. The left side (HO2S) is shown, the right side is similar.







4. Using the special tool, remove the HO2S from the dual converter Y pipe.

NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the heated oxygen sensors with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
